Stories of Impact

The partnership between our residents at Castroville Village Apartments and the Medina County Pantry has been a true blessing. We see the smiles on our residents' faces when they return with groceries that help them get through the week. For many of our families and seniors, this support is the bridge that allows them to manage their other bills without going hungry. We are so thankful for the kindness and hard work of the volunteers at Medina County Pantry who show such care for our residents.

I have spent much of my adult life serving my community in various capacities, but nothing has impacted me quite like my time at the food pantry. The gratitude shown by the families we serve and the knowledge that I am helping meet a basic, vital need fills my heart in a way I have never experienced before. Being part of this mission has strengthened my faith in the power of community and reminds me daily why service matters.

I have used the Medina County Food Pantry to help bridge the gap when payday doesn't meet up with the amount of food my family needs. The staff has been very friendly and helpful any time I go to them. They are an amazing resource for anyone who needs help to get through hard times. When things get rough or too close for comfort, they are always ready and willing to offer you a hand up. If you need help, this is definitely the place to offer that for the residents here in Medina County.

I was a drug addict on December 7, 2017. God came for me and changed my life now I do my best to help serve the community but if it hadn’t been for the food pantry that provided all the nourishing food for me to get back up on my feet to get healthy again from the addiction, I would’ve been in real trouble.
Thank You

Penny
